ELECTRA has been specifically designed for the electric industry, particularly sub-station protection, where security is important.

Electra is difficult to penetrate and can be combined with a security topping to prevent scaling.

Cost-effective, with optional features such as low cost gravel boards and a reduction in fixings allows maximum security at minimum cost.

With the option of powder coating, Electra combines quality aesthetics with good through vision. This is important in particular for electrical substations which are often situated in residential locations.

Materials

All materials are hot dipped galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:1999.

A choice of mesh is available to this range, these are:
4095 5mm strands 102.5mm nominal apertures.
2089 3mm strands 50.8mm nominal apertures.

Intermediate post type – 50 x 50 x 3mm RHS including pre fabricated lugs for the fitting of channel stringers and pre welded plate for optional plastic gravel board fixing.

Corner post type – 50 x 50 x 3mm RHS including pre fabricated lugs for the fitting of channel stringers and pre welded plate for optional gravel board fixing. 60 x 60 x 5mm RSA cover strip.

Each panel will require three stringers per panel each stringer to receive latch clamps to secure mesh.

Overlap at mesh at the post is achieved by use of clamp strip made from flat steel 40 x 5mm, drilled to receive 4 no. M8 x 80mm (1.8 high) 5 no. M8 x 80mm (2.4 high) security bolts. The overlap of mesh will be 150mm at the centre line of post.

Assembly Details
The Electra system is based on post centres of 3 metres and 2m when using 4095 mesh. 1.5m, 2.5m + 3m when using 2089 mesh
The overlap of mesh at the post will be approx. 150mm which is secured by a cover strip then by 4 or 5 no. security bolts (depending on height of system).

Each panel will need 3 stringers with latch clamps to secure the mesh.

A comprehensive range of gates are available to complete this system.

Straight extension to receive up to 3 strands of barbed wire or razor wire.

Increased security can be achieved with this system by burying the mesh into the ground. (Please specify additional requirements when ordering).

The system is also suitable for sloping and undulating ground conditions extra fixings are supplied for this and must be specified when ordering.

Anti vandal security fittings are standard on the integral parts of the system.
