Fixafence
Description
Fix-a-Fence system is designed to be installed on existing or new concrete timber or steel posts. The dimension of the post section will not affect the system as standard brackets are available for all types of posts.
The materials used in this system are all Hot Dip Galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:1999 standard, and installations and materials should comply with BS1722 part 14.

Materials

A choice of mesh can be installed in this system - 4095, 4097 and 2089. Clamp plates 55mm x 38.3mm galvanised steel plate formed at both ends to create claw effect to hold mesh overlap together with one M8 x 35 cup square bolt. Two clamp plate assemblies to each post, hook bolt secured with washer and nuts. Three ‘U’ section stringers from 1.5mm thick steel fixed at equal centres to new or existing posts which are held from front to back with 8mm hook bolts secured with washer and nuts - existing posts require clamp assemblies.

Expamet Security Products mesh panels are fixed 1.8m high above ground (other sizes are available on request) fixed by 3 no. post clamp assembly units per post and 3 no. ‘U’ section stringer rails (3810mm long) spaced between posts. Hook bolts M8 x 55, 8 per stringer ranging from 450-600 centres. Fasten the mesh to the rail with mesh overlapped 150mm at each end. Two clamp assembles are used to secure overlap. Each clamp will have M8 x 35 cup square bolt with washers and nut fittings.

Position of stringers will depend on site conditions, however, the bottom stringer should be 140mm above ground level and top stringer approximately 100mm below post or start of crank. Joins in stringers are to be staggered and securely bolted together using 2 no. bolts with secure nut fittings and stringer joint plates (as described in suppliers manual).

Polyester powder coating is also available with an extensive range of colours to BS6497. A range of gates to accommodate the Fix-a-Fence system are also available.

Additional security can be achieved by burying mesh into ground, please state requirements.

Anti-vandal fittings can also be applied to this system (snap-off-nuts). Replacement barbed tape can be supplied.
