Guide to Measuring Mesh

Sheet Sizes

This sheet of mesh is 2440 x 1220mm LW x SW

This sheet of mesh is 1220 x 2440mm LW xSW.

Mesh Dimensions

LW denotes the long way of the mesh dimension.
SW denotes the sort way of the mesh dimension.

For conventional meshes with angled strands dimensions from centre to centre of knuckles are shown.

For flattened meshes dimensions of the aperture point to point are shown.

Meshes are divided into material types, raised or flattened. Mesh types are listed with a reference code and technical details. The information indicates the size of the diamond and the thickness & weight of the mesh. The last column will show what sheet size is in stock for that product.

Guidelines for Ordering

Use the following 6 pieces of information to clarify your requirements:

1) The Reference Code
Each expanded  mesh is referenced by a series of numbers, which identify the product eg 1284

2) The Material Type

Then a series of prefixes or suffixes which indicate the process and material type of the product. eg1284F

3) Sheet size or coil width

Material can be sold in sheet form or coiled to suit your requirements. Each product has its own range of stock sheet sizes, which is indicative of the width of the machine on which it is produced. Sheets can also be cut to size and specification "made to order"

4) Quantity of sheets / length of coil
How much mesh will you need to complete your contract or regularly to meet demand ?

5) Do you require any additional processing or special finishes?

We can cut, press, shape. This is a developmental area of growth so we reserve the right to view the prospective processing and will quote if possible.

6) Do you require raised or flattened mesh?
Suffix of F eg 1284F indicates that the mesh is Flattened by rollers as part of the production process, it therefore has a smooth surface. Therefore the absence of F indicates that the mesh is sold raised therefore having a bumpy rough surface.
