“An arson incident number 11058 at Whitehouse Primary School on 13/08/02 resulting in £5000 worth of damage to the school has provided an opportunity for real partnership in our community.
In order to minimise the risk of additional incidents, Cleveland Fire Brigade implemented its partnership approach to include the school and private business in finding a long term solution to the repeat fires and vandalism on site.
The Fire Brigade, the school and Expamet Security Products, agreed to work on the project together, to provide a working solution to all the issues identified in the Arson Audit Inspection (AAI) report.
The Plan included an inner cordon perimeter fence, to protect the buildings, screening out of all alcove areas and doors, subject to vandalism, to restrict access to vulnerable locations and a fuel management compound has been erected, away from the main building to house the refuse etc.
The scheme has achieved what it set out to do, namely to meet the safety needs of the school and the community in which the school is situated.”

“In February 2003, Grange Technology College, Bradford contacted Expamet after receiving advice from the local Crime Prevention Officer. The College had been experiencing problems with a great deal of vandalism in the evening and at weekends. The College opted for the primary system at 2.4m high, powder coated in green.
The system offers excellent through vision and does not limit the CCTV security system at all. In the past year since the installation over £25,000 has been saved on glass replacement charges alone. Site alarm call outs are now negligible also, generally due to problems other than vandalism, attempted burglary etc.”
