Experienced engineer takes up new role at The Expanded Metal Company

The Expanded Metal Company has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of a new engineering manager.

Michael Proud has joined us to oversee production and maintenance at our 25,000+ sqm site in Hartlepool.

A highly experienced mechanical engineer, Michael has a wide range of technical expertise, having worked in production environments in the manufacturing and recycling sectors.

Michael, from Hartlepool, holds an HNC in Mechanical Engineering and held engineering roles in Foster Wheeler Power Products, Peart Fencing and Expamet, before working in the recycling industry for five years.

Commenting on his appointment, Michael Proud said:

"The Expanded Metal Company has a long tradition of manufacturing in North East England so it s exciting to be joining the firm and to be part of its highly specialist engineering team.
